Jake Johnson

Meet Executive Outdoor Living, LLC's Landscape & Pool Division Manager, Jake. Jake has been with Executive Outdoor Living for over ten (10) years. His passion for landscaping began nearly thirteen (13) years ago, after high school. Jake began exploring his love of landscaping by enrolling in a college course in landscaping. Ultimately, Jake finished his degree in Landscape Design and Development from Metro Community College. It was Jake's passion for landscaping and his ability to multi-task that allowed Jake to continue working at Executive Outdoor Living, LLC while finishing up his college degree at night. At Executive Outdoor Living, LLC, Jake is responsible for Hardscape & Landscape sales, crew management, & job site management including the management of the customer relationship. Jake does an incredible job in helping clients pick out the selections for their hardscape projects. Jake takes pride in making sure he knows the materials that are available to us & works with the suppliers to ensure inventory is on hand & the timely delivery of that product. It’s not uncommon for Jake to get his hands dirty & work with the crews to ensure timely completion of projects. Jake is married to Carly & they enjoy golfing, grilling, & spending time at the lake. While Jake’s job description may not include it he is our grill expert & does the majority of the cooking at all of our company outings. His grilling skills are only second to his passion for landscaping. Jake wears many hats at Executive Outdoor Living & we are thankful to have him & his great attitude on our team!


Lawn Maintenance Manager

Jason Jones

Jason has been in the lawn care industry for nearly two (2) decades with almost half of that time with us focusing primarily on mowing. As Lawn Maintenance Manager, Jason's responsibility is to ensure all lawn maintenance clients are taken care of with the best practices possible, Including proper equipment, training of the staff and follow up after services are completed to ensure a quality job. Jason is a proud husband and father of 3 kids, Jaxon, Cash and JudyAnn. At Executive Outdoor Living, we are lucky to have Jason's long tenure in the industry. Jason is someone who pays attention to details and is willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. It is not uncommon for him to be showing guys what to do, mowing alongside them, or repairing equipment to keep them going. He is always working hard right next to the crews to keep them on schedule.


Manager of Executive Outdoor Living, LLC

Mark is the founding Manager of Executive Outdoor Living, LLC. Mark started a predecessor company out of his parents garage with a single mower and trailer. Mark and his exceptional, long-tenured team have grown Executive Outdoor Living, LLC from a single person mowing operation to a full-service, multi-division, forty plus employee operation. Mark attended Roncalli Catholic High School and UNO focusing on Business, with a primary interest in Real Estate and Land Use Economics. Mark is involved in a variety of roles, spending his time training the team on estimates, responding to customers, strategic planning, marketing endeavors and facilities and equipment management. Mark's true passion is creating beautiful properties for all clients without regard for budget or location. Despite his leadership role, Mark remains hands on and spends quite a bit of time with field and job site managers. While much of Mark's time is spent in the office, he remains focused on Executive Outdoor Living, LLC's mission and vision and to ensure exceptional customer service. This means you can find Mark communicating with clients and spending time on each job site to evaluate projects (sometimes even years after the project is completed). Executive Outdoor Living, LLC continues to grow under Mark’s leadership and the future plans continue to look bright. Mark enjoys spending his free time on the lake and working on home improvement projects. He is most proud of his family which includes his wife of 11 years, Ally, and his twin 7 year old boys, Leo & Parker. Mark holds certifications in permeable paving, Commercial Irrigation Design, ICPI Paver Installation, NCMA Retaining Wall Contractor, Rain Bird Controllers, as well as licenses in Sprinkler Contracting, Chemical Applicator, Class D Building Contractor, Techni-Seal Applicator, and Landscape Contractor.


Office Manager

Nancy Friedrichsen

Nancy has been with Executive Outdoor Living for over 6 years. Her diverse knowledge in all areas of office management stems from her nearly twenty-six (26) year career in property management. Nancy's customer service management is second to none. She is responsible for all aspects of the office operations. Nancy is a multi-tasker who can handle a lot thrown at her at one time. It is not uncommon for her to be helping a client, vendor & a co-workers concerns all at the same time. Nancy handles human resources, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable & a variety of vendor deliveries and customer inquiries. She is often the one that will get you the information you need and is involved in almost all aspects of what we do daily. Nancy has been a true difference maker in her 6 years with us & we are excited to have her here! Please stop by our office & introduce yourself to Nancy! She'd love to meet you. Outside of the office Nancy likes to spend time with her husband and her two dogs Tinkerbell & Boomer. Nancy has 2 Daughters & 7 Grandkids which she enjoys seeing as much as possible.


Certified Commercial Lawn & Tree Application Manager

Pete Casarotto

For nearly two decades (20 years), Pete has been employed in the lawn & landscaping industry. His broad experience from chemical treatments to head grounds crew for a sports complex shows his knowledge and value. Pete obtained his bachelor’s degree in physical education sports management with a minor in business from Dana College in Blair, Nebraska. Pete is our Chemical Division Manager and handles everything from selection of product to instilling proper application techniques. Pete has a great knowledge of turf and turf diseases and is a valuable asset to our clients. We are glad to have him on our team with all of expertise in chemical applications and products. Pete recently celebrated his 8th wedding Anniversary with his wife Becky and has two kids, Ethan and Aviana. Pete enjoys having fun with his kids as well as playing baseball, golf and going fishing.


Estimating & Sales - Licensed Arborist

Shane Peters

Shane has been in the lawn care & tree care industry since 1982. Shane has done it all - from lawn specialist focused on treating lawns with Chemlawn to field manager supervising 15 employees. Shane's experience in the industry is invaluable not only because of his field work but also his understanding of the administrative/office side of the business. Shane has held positions of office manager & sales manager over the years. In 1991, Shane began his tenure at Tru-Green-Chemlawn as branch manager, supervising all aspect of the location's business in Lincoln. In 1994, Shane started his own lawncare/treecare business & for 20 years he owned & operated Turf & Tree Technology Inc. In 2015, Shane started with Executive Outdoor Living, LLC as an estimator and consulting arborist selling all services offered as well as assisting in the lawn & tree care sections of the business. With nearly 36 years in the industry & a licensed Arborist, Shane brings invaluable depth to the team's experience at Executive Outdoor Living, LLC. Shane has been married to his wife Kathy for 40 years and has twin boys Ben and Brandon (35) and son John (26). Shane Enjoys boating & vacationing in Florida in the off Season.


Landscape Designer

Susan Gregory

Susan is our Lead Designer. She has a bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from The Ohio State University and 14 years of experience at various Design Build & Architectural Firms in Omaha & Indianapolis, Indiana. She loves creating spaces where she can imagine our clients relaxing or entertaining friends outdoors. Susan’s 3-D and color designs are constantly impressing our clients. From the time they open them up they can tell the level of time & details that have gone into the design.  Susan always designs with the clients best interests in mind but she is not afraid to make changes to the original plans. Susan also helps our clients with warranty issues & in the off season plays a big role in streamlining our estimating systems. She is always willing to learn more & regularly attends trade show conferences from our vendors to gather information on the new or changing materials that are available to us. Wherever possible she picks plants that will help create a more sustainable environment and help boost butterfly & bird populations. Besides her job, Susan enjoys gardening, cooking, reading & powerlifting. If you are ever near the office check out her power lifting trophies & medals! Susan is married to Bruce & they have 1 son & 2 daughters.
